Thailand is making its biggest-ever appearance at ITB Berlin 2025, the world's largest travel trade show. The event will take place from March 4 to 6 in Berlin, Germany. Thailand will have a much bigger exhibition space and a record 160 Thai tourism businesses joining. This is Thailand’s strongest effort to attract more European tourists.

Tourism and Sports Minister Sorawong Thienthong said that Thailand’s booth will grow from 540 square meters to 1,820 square meters, covering a whole hall at ITB Berlin for the first time.

“This year, 160 tourism businesses from five regions of Thailand will take part, including both big and small tourist cities. This is the largest Thai group in ITB Berlin’s 50-year history.”

This move is part of the Ignite Tourism Thailand policy and the Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism & Sports Year 2025 plan. It aims to bring more long-distance travelers to Thailand.

Thailand hopes to welcome 10.6 million long-distance tourists in 2025 and earn 870 billion baht from tourism.

Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Governor Thapanee Kiatphaibool shared that:

A big highlight is the Hidden Gem Cities Zone, which will introduce 17 lesser-known cities in Thailand. This plan, supported by Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra, will help small local tourism businesses connect with European markets.

The Thai Prime Minister will attend ITB Berlin today, where she will:

  • Speak to international media
  • Announce 2025 as Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism & Sports Year
  • Share Thailand’s tourism plans for the future

Thailand’s booth will also feature Thai Charms, a cultural display based on the 5 Must-Do in Thailand theme. It will focus on sustainability, local traditions, and new travel technology.

Thailand will also introduce TATAI, a 3D AI-powered hologram booth that provides real-time travel information.

With over 180 countries at ITB Berlin 2025, Thailand’s strong presence is expected to attract many international tourism businesses and boost its reputation as a top travel destination. 🚀
